No. Martin was on the phone with his girlfriend when the confrontation started. She testified at the trial.

The footage clearly shows multiple people with guns drawn. Byrd was the only one who fired.

Only after the shot was fired. Before Byrd shot, he was quite literally the only person with his gun drawn on the other side of the barricade. There were plain-clothed cops directly in her field of vision who were casually pacing back and forth some distance down the hall with no weapons drawn.
