It may not be too far off the mark. The Houthis lack advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities from aircraft and satellites, which are crucial for accurate targeting.

Houthis recently fired 18 missiles at an aircraft carrier. They fricked around and need to find out, what kind of deterrence does the US have if we let a bunch of desert people shoot at us and shut down one of the busiest maritime t

I don’t think so. You have failed in two threads trying to promote this.

In your other thread you used just the truth post out of context.
How is it “out of context” when I provided an image of the post itself? Trump’s post says what it says.

He's saying it's a mistake because people are dumb. You're dumb, that's why you missed that part even though it's on your quote.
And you are a f#cking moron — see how that works? Now, do you want to trade insults or have a discussion?
I’m game for either! You will get what you give with me.
With that out of the way, I didn’t miss it all and I likewise know that J.D. Vance is a smart man. A very smart man.
And Vance realizes that the political fallout of the United States further becoming involved in yet another Middle Eastern War is a tremendous political gamble because an increasing number of MAGA enthusiasts are tired of this era of endless war. And that is exactly why Vance smartly realizes that this could be a grave political miscalculation.

Vance is wrong. Voters voted for a strong America. Allowing savages to destroy our ships, naval vessels, and world shipping is not what we voted for.

Analysts suggest that while the Red Sea is crucial for global trade, the effects on the U.S. economy are comparatively minimal. For instance, Mark Hopkins, an economist at Moody’s Analytics, noted that such disruptions are "unlikely to have any significant impact on the U.S. economy."
And this very likely is why J.D. Vance argued in favor of delaying the strikes to further gauge the economic fallout of the shipping crisis in the Red Sea.

I'm just happy to see warmongering making a comeback.

This is where Vance is dead wrong and it is a feature of his politics that concerns me.
The Houthis have been firing on us and more than. a few times. You F with us, we have every reason to fire back and wipe you out. However, it is bigger than that. They fire missiles at Israel, an ally. They are also shutting down major shipping lanes .
Many companies are altering their shipping routes, including avoiding the Suez Canal and taking the long trip around Africa to avoid the Houthis. At some point, you stand up for civilization itself and say enough is enough.
You can pull that isolationist crap all you want but you can advocate for a stable global economy without being an no border no free speech tyrannical globalist or WEF groupie.
These are nothing but hi-tech pirates and for pirates, we don't need a declaration of war. We don't need to give them due process. Just wipe them out.
As for Vance's remarks about Europe. Yeah, they have been free loading off of us and they should kick in their 2%. However, I like the idea of Europe being somewhat dependent on us, especially given the way they are wrecking their own economies. I don't wan't to see a European army that is competent, well funded, and well armed. Given the shift in thinking in Western Europe towards more authoritarianism, I wan't them strong enough just to defend themselves but not enough for any offensive operations. They can leave that to us.

Waltz is shady.
You got that right CA. I know that some degree of compromise and concessions was necessary to build a cohesive administration but after the repeated disastrous admin picks in Trump’s first term, how could Trump have allowed anyone with Waltz’s past associations into his inner circle?

I am not a fan of this because we can’t afford to continue to carry Europe’s freight. We indeed are doing a fine and dandy job of wrecking our own economy.
Sometime in 2024, our nation’s debt obligations exceeded spending on Defense. That was a very worrisome milestone.
This era of perpetual warfare and permanent Empire is one of the main contributing factors in that reality. Unless something changes soon, gravity is going to take over and it will not be a soft landing for any of us.
