VA Gov is a great value buy on PredictIt

The last two off-off-year Gov elections in VA, the Republican candidate underpolled by about 4 points. RCP average is currently a 3-point Dem lead. Bet the farm (or if you're cheap like me, $100).

I've got a decent feeling about it. With all of the Charlottesville craziness, it wouldn't surprise me if there was a small "hidden" vote again. Combine that with the terrible commercial and close polling, I agree. I could see a nice upset.

If the media pushes a narrow dem win tonight in VA as some sort of soaring rejection of the GOP, and a signal that 2018 will be a blue wave....I will be really upset. Because that is obviously not the case.
VA is a blue state. Period. It has been a blue state since 2008 and will continue to be a blue state as long as more and more government workers move from DC to Arlington and Fairfax.

On the national level, VA is a blue state, and will probably be a double digit blue state in the next decade or so.

No. Virginia still went blue in Obama off year elections (2013 gov and 2014 senate).
