I don’t look at them like that now. I view them as a brainwashed cult.

One to clean, one to make sammiches and the rest or all to bed? Biggest issue would be how does alimony work?

Again, logically a progressive cannot oppose it.

20 or so years ago some feminist admitted that if you were in favor of homosexual "marriage", you could not logically oppose polygamy.
Even though polygamy exploits women, she didn't care that it would be legitimized. The only thing that mattered to her was "destroying the patriarchy" and traditional marriage.
Same people want to make abortions legal for anyone at any age.
How far are we from legalizing pedophilia?

Exactly, but many have trouble grasping the distinction.
Like clockwork, we will soon be seeing the posts about minor children being forced into polygamous marriages ... from people who not understand that they are combining two completely-severable issues.
Your too dense to understand it’s a progression......a process.

Next is (adult) incest.
Again, logically...

They'll happen shortly after a child can legally change their sex.

The bible condemns homosexual relationships.
It does not condemn polygamy.
One is definitely more in accord with natural law than the other.

Real life Polygamy is often incest.
There was a documentary about how two of the three wives of some old crazy frick were sisters and he was their Uncle.
Polygamy is familial and clannish - rogue and taboo to talk about in Utah.
Because that's what modern-day Polygamy is...it's not just independent women choosing to all be with one guy.
It's clanish old school Mormons inbred marriages and family.
That's why it's abuse against women.
A lot of the time, women aren't choosing this life. It chooses them.
Polygamy was championed by Smith because not only did the Church need followers but they were insular and isolated and he was most likely a pervert. So they bred from within.
It has no place in the modern world, which is why LDS has rejected it but in Utah there are still fundamentalists that practice it.
And now Utah wants to make it legal? They're taking up the cause of Mormon fundamentalists? The same people the US government went after in 1852?

I see nothing wrong with polygamy. If a man can net himself 2+ women willing to marry him at the same time, more power to him. Same goes for a woman if she can find multiple men to marry her at the same time.

Polygamy wasn’t practiced in the New Testament, and Jesus was very clear that marriage consisted of one man and one woman, and the two, becoming one flesh.

Once you say OK to trannies, gay marriage, and 57 genders, its gonna be damn hard to say no to polygamy.

And those pushing the hedonistic agenda knew this and also knew pedophilia was soon to be on the table as well.

Jesus said marriage is between one man and one woman, and that is how God always intended it to be from creation with Adam and Eve. The Old Testament bears this truth out because having multiple wives always caused problems. Think of the story of Abraham and Ishmael and the grief that caused him. Solomon set up idols to other gods because of his foreign wives. David basically had a good man murdered and a child die because of it.

Look, I think monogamy is the better way.
I'm just saying that at least polygamy is hetero oriented, and that is far superior to homosexuality.
If you had to rank them.

I don't really care about this issue. If we're gonna normalize everyone else's sexual proclivities why the hell would this be a bridge too far?
