I think HHTM wrote this
quote:

After losing 11 votes, the most since before the Civil War, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is now confident that a deal for his ascension to House Speaker is imminent.

During this process, my eyes have been opened to just how much the odds are stacked against us. So many corrupt politicians in office

Do you realize how incredibly hard that is when they are all swampers? And some people have to be put in a position of power to reveal who they really are. If you are in DC, you are 99.9% likely to be a swamper. The only question was if it was planned from the start or just pulled in and how deep you're willing to dive to move up the food chain.

Which is why significant change WILL NOT occur outside of revolution, which isn't going to happen...

Half of Congress are democrats and more than half of republicans are moderates. Half of the remaining are true concervatives

House has come to order.

Prayer is being offered (to include guidance during this “imbroglio of indecision”).

Currently counting for a quorum.

I wonder why Mike Johnson was following Chip Roy around?

He was doing this yesterday and the day before.

Traffic jams, lice, and root canals have higher approval ratings than does the US Congress.
What do you expect?

This is what the 20 need to keep doing in regards to their McCarthy votes:

I'm so tired of the applause every time someone is nominated. The first time it happens, sure, whatever, but the 12th? Come on.

Also, how often does the person nominating Jeffries mention January 6, 2021?

My daughter’s boss speaking here. She preferred not to try to sit near him to get on TV. Stayed in the office.

If Congress is "America's classroom" no wonder we are in decline.
