Iran was an up and coming 1st world nation in the 70s. ITs population is full of normal, educated people.

Operation Midnight Hammer occurred around 2:15 in the morning. It is currently 12:30 in the morning over there. Trump either got a damn strong reassurance from the Iranians that they have stopped killing protesters or he is trying some misdirection and planes are in bound.

I'm leaning towards the latter. The regime has their backs against the wall, they aren't just going to stop killing people. They have to to hold onto what control they have left. If you stop shooting people, the protests will continue to grow and the people will become more emboldened if they know they won't be shot. The more I think about it the more I think it's Trump fricking with them
