This is so sad to hear. I've been posting here for 10 years. It keeps me sane for the most part. It's never crossed my mind to stop posting. There are times when my mind is too screwed up to post due to meds, chemo or sickness. I'm very sorry about your brother. It's hard to see someone that you care about suffer. Hell it's hard to have to see anyone suffer.
