Whatever immunity he had from prosecution certainly does not carry over to obstruction of justice when he's not President anymore. It likely wouldn't apply if he was still sitting as President (see: Nixon).

His testimony is evidence. You get to assign credibility to that testimony, but you're supposed to put all the pieces together when judging the case as a whole. They seem to have strong enough evidence to have proven he initially lied, and if they do, presenting this evidence to the jury will accomplish the same goal (showing which time he lied). That evidence + his testimony + other evidence + testimony of others (who didn't originally lie) is a strong case.
