Under Armour’s #MeToo Moment: No More Strip Clubs on Company Dime
‘We can and will do better,’ says chairman and chief executive of sports-apparel company

Over the years, executives and employees of the sports-apparel company, including Chairman and Chief Executive Kevin Plank, went with athletes or co-workers to strip clubs after some corporate and sporting events, and the company often paid for the visits of many attendees, people familiar with the matter said.

Under Armour Inc. UAA +1.22% employees received an email earlier this year that upended a longstanding company practice: They could no longer charge visits to strip clubs on their corporate cards.

“Growth at Under Armour is a constant journey, especially as it relates to our culture,” Ms. McCormick said. “Engaging diverse talent, building inclusive leadership and fostering an equitable, innovative and respectful culture is very important to us.”

I don’t think that qualifies as the SJW path - going to strip clubs on the company dime is dumb.

Normal male heterosexuality is now something we must apologize for.

Every other degenerate form of bizarre sexuality under the sun is to be celebrated, but men finding women sexually attractive is now taboo.

Under Armor is against supporting single moms

Under Armor is against girls trying to earn money for college

BUT, they can pay cash and submit for reimbursement... The "card" just makes things a little messy...

Jesus Christ, I thought everyone learned not to use the company credit card in a strip club after Mike Price...

Why does UA hate women's right to work in the sex industry to provide for themselves and their family. UA is now an enemy of supporting women's right to choose to work in an industry that has been stigmatized by so many.

So they should switch to cash ... like the rest of us.

FWIW I know a couple of the UA guys and my Goddaughter is doing an internship with them this coming summer after she gets back from her exchange student tour in Italy in the Spring. The UA guys I know are the least SJW men I have ever met ... really good guys. And both of them deal with SC on a regular basis.

This is all PR bullshite required by investors and the board to keep the fricktard libtards off their backs. I wouldn't read too much into it.

It’s a legit business expense when they are trying to land a massive contract. Take the prospective client out for hookers and blow.

Now, if you’re just an employee on travel status and you use your company card at a strip Club, you’re just an idiot.

Not going to strip clubs is a matter of professionalism, not social justice.

Why? Because strip clubs are sleazy and offensive to most sensible women. If you want to go on your own - have at it. But expecting your company to pay for it as “entertainment” for customers isn’t reasonable. I’ve found that people who think it’s fine are the same ones that are likely to slip a few soft-core porn pics in their PowerPoint presentations to keep it “fun”

how is that any different than corporate executives taking clients to other legal establishments for dinner or entertainment? is Hooters or Twin Peaks okay? strip clubs are legal. plus it's not like some random sales guy making 40k a year was making these charges. the CEO himself was doing it.

why is it okay for some women to demonize other working women at a strip club just because they don't approve of their profession?

Under Armour is only doing this to pat themselves on the back. Hence why the Wall Street Journal picked up the story. I'm sure there are dozens of other policies they have changed, but they knew this one would give them a "hey look at us! we are doing what is right!" in the headlines.

That would look better for the company if they used cash... Cash can be reimbursed in many ways, once it is on a credit card receipt it cannot be hidden...

When you're courting clients, you have to appeal to their nature. You can't be for UA's PC policies then be against supporting women who are choosing to do what they want with their bodies.
