Unoccupied ones or already bombed out.

They have been using schools for barracks almost from Day 1. It's not like any children are there.

I’ve already accepted the fact, that this is the poli board everytime I post something.

How does spreading Russian propaganda help spread the message that y’all want America first?

This thread is about the war crimes committed by Ukraine

with the weapons and the money the US gave them.

You left that part out. From the beginning, most of us have been saying that Russia was being a dick AND that Ukraine also has some very dirty hands. This conflict has nothing to do with the US, we would like to stay out of it. Instead, our leaders continue to send billions to Ukraine and we have been painted as Putin idolizers.

Now it is verified by an outside source that the money and weapons we sent to Ukraine was used to commit war crimes. We’re a little salty about that.

Weird. Ukraine, along with reporters from dozens of countries, are reporting Russian propaganda now

So let’s spread Russian propaganda in response?

Amnesty International is Russian propaganda now?

quote:

Responding to a video reportedly showing Russian soldiers apparently castrating a Ukrainian prisoner of war, who is gagged with his hands tied behind his back, Marie Struthers, Amnesty International’s Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, said: “This horrific assault is yet another apparent example of complete disregard for human life and dignity in Ukraine committed by Russian forces. All those suspected of criminal responsibility must be investigated and, if there is sufficient admissible evidence, prosecuted in fair trials before ordinary civilian courts and without recourse to death penalty.

LINK from Amnesty International

Russia may want to find a better propaganda mouthpiece, this one doesn’t feel very committed to the cause.

No y’all haven’t. A lot of people on here think that Russia had a right to invade Ukraine, because of Nazis, and NATO being aggressive. Most people on here have no issues at all with what Russia did and continues to do, for some strange arse reason.

Hardly any conflict has anything to do with the US. What are we supposed to do then? It is unrealistic to think that you can just completely ignore a conflict like this. That’s what I don’t understand, is you people are smart and have a really good understanding of history, yet for some reason y’all think we should do nothing.

Weird, the poli board has still not called out Russia for their “war crimes”, but will call out Ukraines “war crimes”.

I know you’re bad at reading, and following conversations, but what we were discussing has to do with the conflict as a whole, not this thread. Ole boy completely changed what we were talking about, and we started discussing the conflict as a whole.

I know you’re bad at reading but I just posted a link and quote from a story about Russian soldiers castrating a Ukrainian POW.

That is a war crime.

Russia has committed a war crime.

Almost certainly numerous war crimes.

Please tell me again how no one has called Russia out for their war crimes? Should I bold it? Maybe some ALL CAPS would help?

Oh, so now you talk about a Russian War Crime, after I’ve already exposed y’all for your hypocrisy.

So it took until August 6th, at 7:34pm, months after the war has started, and months after Russian war crimes were reported, before a poli board member finally calls out Russia.

You are welcome to join the Ukraine or Russian army if you feel that strongly about it. I am sure they would welcome you with open arms

So you think the Ukrainians who are fighting for the life of their country need to play nice?

No.

So use your most vulnerable as human shields to keep the Nazi battalion alive?

Should have negotiated instead. Now Ukraine is committing war crimes against it's own citizens.

I'm not dumb enough to fight a war for another country. I served 8 for this one.

The point I was making is you are clueless about laws of conflict. LOAC stars you do not target residential, properly labeled medical facilities, personnel or vehicles, churches or schools. Unless they are providing a military function within the structure. Then they become combatants and are fair game.

By them using these areas as cover they opened up Russian attacks on civilians and it was lawful for the Russians to do so. The Ukrainian military brought their civilian population to slaughter.

“Laws of conflict” are what got us into messes in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. I am not suggesting that everyone or everything is a target but when you fight wars with certain parameters it only handicaps the one using them. You either fight to win or you don’t fight at all. As far as Ukraine is concerned, if the shoe were on the other foot and the US were the ones being invaded I can assure you that most Americans would employ any means necessary.

No

ETA. If we are sharing facilities with our military during war then we are also fighting in the war and utilizing our 2A. We would all be armed combatants.

Are you suggesting the Ukraine civilians have picked up arms and are fighting alongside? Because the way you are wording it makes it seem like the military are using the protections of the people to shield themselves and at that point they are no longer defending anything and are getting innocent people that shouldn't be involved killed. What is a country without it's people?

He went from denying this was happening to making excuses for it. “This is why it’s a good thing.”
