FWIW, this chest beating between us and Russia is something many of us on here experienced in our early lives. Putin reminds me of the Russian leaders back in the 60s and 70s, probably even longer.
This deal with Russia is going to draw out longer and longer. Won't be solved anytime soon, imo. Putin isn't making all this ruckus just to fold and go back home. He will not retreat if shite is smeared on his face.
Invading a region of a country, don't care if it use to be part of the USSR or not, building up troops along the Ukraine border under the guise of "exercises", forfeiting their seat on the G8 council and whatever else I've left off is not indicative of someone thumping their chest.
He has a plan. This was not done on a whim by him.

There are other ways to assert your power, but you have to present a firm stance. If you spend your time bowing and kneeling, apologizing and whining, backing down when challenged, you will never be in a position to do anything but look on while the world considers you impotent.

Ok I'll bite. I'm a conservative, but don't think we should put "boots on the ground" over this. At this point. My question for you is what if Putin did not stop with Ukraine, but invaded a former Soviet Republic state that is now part of NATO? Would you consider going to war over that? We would be required to you know as part of NATO. Same if China invaded Japanese islands, we would be required to based upon treaties signed.

That's what internet tough guy Gray Tiger would do at least. You should run for office. I guess you think good old Ronnie Reagan would be sending troops in there right now huh cowboy? In reality, there's nothing else we can really do but go the sanctions route unless you want some really itchy trigger fingers over there. It's a Russian-Ukraine issue at heart going back generations.

This is the time to catch us conservatives before our 1st cup of coffee,even on Sunday mornings. We were taught long ago that the early bird catches the worm. We're not a bunch of lazy arse bums who need Daddy government to take care of us or our families . Yes America should just leave Putin alone,nothing bad can come of that. He will continue to take more of the Ukraine under the guise that Ethic Russians there are being punished. But you boys who are scared of war with Russia,have no fear,the limp waisted ,weak arse President that we have would never have the Bravery needed for that kinda leadership. And Putin ,along with many other leaders know this.but hey,none of that could hurt America ,right?
