The designated infectors have been sent out to spread the virus. If they’ve locked down, the damage has been done already. Covid was the test run, this is the real deal.

This, once again, reveals the folly of thinking you can control the virus.
No one has been more draconian than the Chinese with lockdowns and Zero Covid policy. But there is no way to stop it. It is endemic. It has animal reservoirs. It will have to touch everyone until we can immunologically live with it. You stop it here...it waits six months and comes back.
Just accept it. Many will be infected. Some will experience serious symptoms. Few will be hospitalized. Very few will succumb.
