I've heard about them for a long time but never saw a list:

quote:

The University of Utah gave examples of "microaggressions," including “I don’t think of you as a person with a disability” and “you speak really good English.” Other “microaggressions” include “you’re pretty for a dark-skin girl,” “you don’t look like a lesbian,” “what are you?” (presumably referring to ethnicity/nationality) and “where are you really from?”

Notice that they did not include "Wow, you're smart for a Mormon."

Have the former “Running Redskins” always been like this or are they now getting high and hanging out with those assholes from Boulder and Berkeley?

Funny micro aggressions result in macro offense.

Didn't include "you don't sweat a lot for a fat person"

Is that a microagression for the intellegent people that speak English well?

I dunno. When I compliment foreigners on their English they are very pleased.

As a disabled person I don't understand why this is a bad thing. I don't like to think of myself as disabled person so why would someone else saying that to me be harmful or offensive?
