The University of Alabama confirmed on Saturday that the professor who made gloating and crass remarks after the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump is no longer on staff, without specifying why or when she left.
On Saturday, 1819 News reported on Facebook posts by Jennifer L. Collins, who claimed to be an adjunct professor at the University of Alabama, in which she insinuated that the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump was staged while also suggesting he “had it coming.”
At the time of the original report, the University website did list Collins as a part of its faculty. After the story ran, the Associate Director of Communications and Media Relations Alex House responded to an 1819 News inquiry asking if Collins had been removed from her position. House merely said that Collins was a “former adjunct instructor and is not currently employed by the University,” without specifying when or why she was no longer employed.
