Alabama voters shouldn't give a shite about what he did as AG.
He let the country down when we needed him the most.
You misspelled "followed the law rather than engaging in partisan politics."

This thread reminds me of 2015-2016 but back then people were saying the same thing about Trump as they're saying about Tubs now.

Sessions could have turned down the AG position but he didn't for some reason and it bit him in the arse. One doesn't become a CEO of a company and fail and go back to being CFO for the same company because he did a good job as CFO. That isn't how real life works.

It takes a special person to come to the conclusion that allowing the political investigation of a president for collusion, and a political investigation of a president for obstruction after collusion was disproved is "not engaging in partisan politics".

this is spot on..
Doug Jones has no chance to defeat Sessions but he does have a chance to beat Tuberville if the media can sling enough mud and make it stick

Sessions is a cowardly fool. That is his freaking record!

He abdicated his most important duty while the DNC, MSM and the deep state tried to burn down the White House and instigate a coup with a hoax.

Better an unknown than an old fool like Sessions.

His involvement with the Trump campaign dictated recusal. 95% of Trump sycophants will never accept this premise (the other 5% are mostly lawyers), but that refusal to accept reality does not CHANGE reality.

He did the right thing, legally. But doing so meant that he could not cover Trump's arse for him. Sycophants will never forgive his choice of following the law over political loyalty.

Says more about the sycophants than about Sessions.

Eric Holder wouldn't have recused thus Sessions shouldn't have recused. It isn't about what one should do, it's about what has been done. Let's play by the same set of rules.

Have you thought about what would have happened if Kavanaugh’s confirmation came down to Doug Jones vote? Or Trump’s impeachment for removal?
Do you honestly picture Sessions voting against Kav and voting for removing Trump? Come on now...

I agree that Jones very much would rather run against Coach T AND that he will do better against him than he would Sessions

Tubs is not as pernicious to the left and their sycophants in the media as Judge Moore was=is; but he is more vulnerable as a candidate

having said that, this is a Presidential election year, and there is 0% chance that Trump won't pull the Republican candidate across the finish line; this would even be true with Judge Moore as the candidate

if this were an off year election, I might be persuaded into voting for the Cowardly Elf to ensure we preserve the seat

but it's not and I will be voting for Jug Ears

wrong sir

again, I accept that recusal was the correct move

and again, Mueller's appointment of nothing but partisan hacks with an agenda opened the door for Sessions to step in and demand fairness; the composition of Mueller's team was proof that the investigation was a sham and political witch hunt, AND gave Sessions the authority to exorcise his power of oversight to demand equity and fairness for the process

Jeff hid under his desk. He deserves to lose based on that
