With so many of his appointees still waiting for Congressional confirmation, will Trump utilize a recess appointment to get some of these people in place?

If it's legal, why not?

Even though the Democrats do not control Congress, can they say they are still in session to avoid recess appointments or does McTurtle have the say on this?

If the Republicans had any balls they would pass a law saying that so many have to be given an YES or No decision by a certain length of time or they do not recess.

Correct me if wrong, but even when on recess (when aren’t they, btw?), I think all the filthy buttfrickocrats have to do is rotate one or two token representatives to stay in town and it’s somehow possible to continue to obstruct.

Sorry no link and it might be hearsay, but I could have sworn I’ve heard it before.

I know last year they unanimously passed a measure before recessing in August that blocked Trump from making recess appointments.

So not only are they not doing their jobs, they are attempting to prevent him from doing his job as well.

I feel like Trump's strategic advisers and PR people are absolute shite.

Anybody else get the impression that Obama did a much better job of using loopholes and policy fine lines to get his shite through? Trump is still stuck on level 1 of a bunch of stuff that should have been done within his first 90 days in office.

You really going to cry a river over this after Republicans sat on a Supreme Court nominee for over a year. Don't be a hypocrite.

You mean they were doing exactly what the Dems said should be done in the last months of a lame duck POTUS.

You should take your head out of your arse and join reality.

Trump always claims to surround himself with the best and the brightest but I think you overestimates the talents of Mr. Cohen. Stormy Daniels lawyer ran circles around him. His academic background is less than stellar. He got his law degree from Western Michigan University. That’s fine but does not seem like a degree that opens up doors. Time for the varsity - Guliani to rescue.

Well when you don't care about the law or the constitution it makes it easier to do such things...

Trump has signed double the number of executive orders that Obama did in his first year.

I don't think you understand how it works. If Trump did it then it's a good thing, even if Obama had done it before and it was a bad thing then.

Consistency doesn't matter, logically or morally. This is basically football now. It's "my team vs your team" and anything goes. Don't get caught holding.
