What the hell are you talking about? Who do you think creates the federal budget each year? Really, I would like to hear your answer.

The “budget” you speak of is a forecast of outlays and a wish list the president sends in feb.

Congress sets appropriations however they want.. frick you really are this ignorant.

Oh I agree with that, but Congress always deserves the credit or blame..and with few exceptions (last being in the 90s) they always spend much more than we have.

Also in 2018 the US posted its largest trade deficit in US history( $891 billion). US Trade deficit with China hit $419 billion IN 2018- largest ever with that nation.

US trade deficit in August 2020 largest since 2006( yeah Covid). " Trade wars" are easy.

It really shocked me when I looked at the debt for the last 20 years. As much as I hated Obama, I was shocked by the trajectory of the budget each year. It was sky high in his first few years but continued to go down in his last four. Most of that is probably because he knew he had opposition in the Senate. When Trump came to power, annual deficits began to climb again. With the economy in full recovery mode, it should have been reduced. Throw out 2020 because we all know it's not his fault.

Good lord, still can't grasp it. President creates a budget, a wishlist as you say. Congress appropriates money based on this wish list. They can add things if they want, but the president can veto it if he wishes. The original budget and the final say come from the president.

you’re a clown if you think the uniparty based their budget around Trump.

Why do you think congress waits until the last possible hour to pass something to send to potus? Jesus, sad man.

Shhhhhh...... Trump is responsible for nothing negative on this board. This includes trillions in debt and the fricked up COVID response. They blame China, the States, Congress, the "Deep State", anyone but the clown actually running the country.

Good lord man, reps held the senate his whole term and the house for half.

Its like you live in a world devoid of facts.

This. As a Reagan Republican I couldn't have said it better....

We need another Reagan Republican in 2024 to rescue this country and party, not a phony Trump wannabe (with all of the bluster and even less substance).
