As in, it's ok for the far righties and Trump to use their platform to bash the media, the liberals in hollywood, etc. But it's not ok for the hollywood crowd to do the same?

Yeah...no.
The difference is that most of the criticisms from the conservative side of the aisle revolve around policy differences and general direction of the country. The left/lib criticisms always seem to revolve around accusations of being "racist"..homophobic" "Islamophobic".."anti woman", etc etc. This necessitates a response...and the troll circus begins.

Speaking of crybabies here is Mr Katanga anticipating the tears before his own began:

i truly cannot wait to read this board Wednesday morning when Hillary wins.

That might have been a little more true as a generalization a few years ago. It's not anymore. Both sides engage in the politics of personal destruction.

She was accepting a Lifetime Achievement Award, and now the soon-to-be leader of the Free World can't stop talking about her.

Sounds like a winner to me.

Meh, I always thought Streep was a deplorable actress who was way overrated as most of the Hollywood actors and actresses are. Put them onstage in front of a live audience and most of them will melt like the libtard snowflakes they are.

Sounds very much like someone who first bought "Ballistic - Ecks Vs. Sever" on DVD, then got the Blu-Ray version a few years later.

Yea... no x2.
I didn't particularly like Streep's thinly veiled attack, however, she was most appalled at when Trump attacked the disabled reporter and specifically mentioned that incident. Please don't call that "political discourse". You're lying to yourself if that's what you think that is that he was doing. I went and even re-watched the segment where Trump did this after he made his excuse early this AM and he's simply wrong. It's not the liberal media making this up at all. He friggin flailed his arms around to mock someone with his disability.

At least be a man and own up to it and either not apologize or apologize. But to act like you didn't even say it and people are just making shite up makes him look like a weak, whiny little bitch.

This frequently? Yes. I believe most psychologists would suspect Trump fits the picture of a textbook narcissist.

You're mistaking his pathology for a virtuous attribute. He's not defending himself. He's punishing those who he perceives are slighting him. There's a difference, and there's a clear, lengthy pattern of him doing this.

If Streep was given the role of playing the same disabled reporter in a movie what would she do?

She would portray the disabled reporter by acting just like the disabled reporter which would mean she would pretend to have the same disability that the disabled reporter has.

Would anyone say Streep is mocking the disabled reporter she is portraying because she pretends to have the same disability that the disabled reporter has?

The answer is no.

Likewise, Trump was portraying the disabled reporter by pretending to have the same disability that the disabled reporter has.

Trump wasn't mocking the disabled reporter.

What

That's not true at all. He was mocking people that get flustered just not the reporter. He did that same gesture in multiple locations about different people on the campaign trail.

Do you know anyone whose intelligence, reputation and character has been ridiculed and maligned as frequently as Trump's intelligence, reputation and character?

Are you an expert on psychologists or are you just taking a cheap shot at Trump's personality?

If I am wrong, I'll take a ban on this board till February 1, 2017 after I take my beating on election day. But, I'm not wrong

Yeah, every indicator said that Hillary was going to win. I was not happy that she was going to win and I didn't vote for her, but when I posted that she was up by like 10 points and all of the electoral math was in her favor.

Then, the bottom fell out. I was wrong. I took my ban and said so. Then, several people responded saying that as long as I admitted it that there was no need for the ban. So, I came back slowly. I probably shouldn't have.

I should have just stuck with the self-imposed ban. I've thought about that several times in the last few weeks.

I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. I don't care. I change my mind quite a bit on this board, especially when someone makes a convincing argument and presents good evidence. And, I honestly do hope that Trump is successful and would be happy to be proven wrong about him. I have no vested interest in him failing, especially since I do not want Liberal/Progressives to succeed. I just wish he acted like a decent human being. That is my biggest gripe with him.

Dawgfan,

It looks like you're back and posting again, but have yet to respond to my questions of you. So I'm guessing I won't get an answer on this:

quote:

That said, could you link me to some of the statements Obama has made that you feel are even somewhat comparable to the tirades that Trump goes on via his Twitter feed? Legitimate question, because nothing I've seen of Obama's seems comparable in tone or maturity level.

Or this:

quote:

"Show us the birth certificate."

??

Just trying to keep this straight here.

?

Awaiting your reply.

Thanks!

So the rest of what you said was just to give you the opportunity to take a cheap shot at Trump's character.

I don't remember you asking me any of those questions.

Maybe you have me mixed up with the other Dawgfan.

Post a link to your original post where you asked me those questions and I'll answer them.

If not then I'l assume you asked the other Dawgfan and want him/her to answer them.
