I’ve kind of backed away from commenting on this story because it’s all so dependent on the docs themselves and no one knows definitively what they were (and most likely never will).
But I don’t think much of the reaction would change if it came out the Gang of Eight actually was notified before. It’d probably be seen as more evidence of Deep State collusion to take Trump down.

Agreed. I’m only all in because it just seems so similar to the fisa apps and the pee pee dossier. I’m actually disappointed in the FBI. For 6 straight years they can’t find anything solid to pin on a man that has been in real estate in New York for 40 plus years.
I doubt you and I could handle that scrutiny.

I agree to a point. However, all evidence points to Trump cooperating in what appears to be routine negotiations when an administration changes. The difference here is the DOJ sought a warrant, when there were several much less aggressive options available. It just smells like the fisa apps all over again. I understand people don’t trust trump. But I can’t imagine trusting the DOJ and FBI in light of their history with trump.

He could have returned them the numerous times he was given the opportunity to.
Had he done that in May 2021 we're not even having this discussion, but he chose to continue to break the law.
