She will be the next Ambassador to Italy.
Was hanging out there on July 4, and we have had nobody in that post since Biden was inaugurated. Embassy staff there are fairly confident about this.

Pelosi is still a senior member of the House. As for the “other country,” there have been rumors for months that she would retire and take an ambassadorship, if the Dems lose the House. Time will tell.
