Bruh? The reason the flag was still standing is because men were willing to die just to keep it standing. So just stop with your bullshite, please.

I wonder if Trump suffers from the same guilt W did for dodging Vietnam and that's why he pretends to like the military so much.

THIS.....if chills don't go up your spine whenever you hear the national anthem before a sporting event while thinking about all the blood that was shed to keep this country free, you should find another country to live in.

He’s a liberal. It’s his duty to make white male patriots seem insignificant.

The third verse was written nine years earlier when Key witnessed the battle of Tripoli. US Marines vs Muslims, hence the nfl player “take a knee” stance. Kapernick’s new girlfriend introduced him to Religion of Islam the summer before he first took a knee. Look it up.

Isn't this story taught in like primary school, then again in middle school, then again in high school? What was your context for the song before this/what did you think it meant?
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
shite isn't taught in school. It is either primitive survival in the shite schools or indoctrination in the
better ones.

People who do heroic things should be applauded. POWs are no less American than people who die in battle, and to suggest otherwise is despicable.
Sorry for sticking up for POWs.
Btw, I asked a young elementary school kid in my neighborhood, and they knew the story behind the Star Spangled Banner. Third grader 1, Trump zero.

His great x 3 grandparents were Mathias Chitwood and Mary Key. They are my x8 GPS. I think the relation would be 4th cousins 4 times removed. Math is to hard on that one. Nevertheless, I tell my kids cool stuff about their ancestry like that and they don’t give two craps. Teens.

hahahahaha, That never happened.
I see assclowns here daily saying "You Trump supporters will never find fault with anything he does!" and they turn around and do silly horse shite like bitch about him talking about the Star Spangled Banner on Memorial Day.
Annenburg Policy Center article
The survey, conducted in August by the Annenberg Public Policy Center, finds that 2 in 5 American adults (39%) correctly named the three branches of government: executive, legislative and judicial. That is the highest in five years, statistically the same as the prior high of 38% in 2013 and 2011 and a substantial increase over last year, when 32% could do the same.
Yep, those Americans all know about the source of the Star Spangled Banner, no reason whatsoever to mention it.
