At this point, I'd wager almost everyone knows or knows of somebody affected by fentanyl. A friend, family member, coworker, or one of their children / friend of the child, etc.

Fentanyl is affecting a lot of people. High school and college kids who think they are taking a real Percocet or Xanax pill and then overdosing because it's a counterfeit contaminated with fentanyl.

That makes it something worth addressing.

How effective was that past policy??? Just curious, but after, 40 or so years of evidentiary data, it has been comprehensively said, that the "WAR ON DRUGS" was a total failure.

Are you saying you think the old, failed way, is a better policy than the current one, that is setting the tone of what the new standard is under Trump. We are not putting the CIA in charge of this so they can game the system and make money to create havoc. This time, we are actually trying to put a stop to it. This is a different type investment/committment into this project. Much bigger stakes.
