I asked Gemini about the price of diesel and how Iran and Russia impacts the price. Found this interesting.
Data compiled by energy analytics firms like Energy Aspects, Kpler, and Vortexa reveals that the Iran conflict has had a significantly larger impact on total global supply volumes than the Russian refinery strikes.
However, experts point out that the two shocks hit different parts of the supply chain, creating a perfect storm for prices.
By the Numbers: Supply Losses

They're commodities and traded internationally.
Countries who buy diesel fuel from Russia are in the market bidding up prices.

Russia just needs to get tf out and call it a day. This was a complete waste and failure for them. They’ve done far more damage to themselves than Europe or the US could have ever dreamed of doing. This has been a completely reckless war that Vladimir Putin decided to start, and will only result in the downfall of the mighty Russian Empire. He didn’t need to even go down this route.
