You don't need to increase that force. 10k new personnel will be at least $2B added to the budget each year, probably much more with needed vehicle purchases for that many people. If you're going to spend that money, just hand it out in bonuses, equipment, vehicles, obstacles, etc.

The bonus is needed and I've called for that. They are essentially in a war at our border, handcuffed by our own government, and they should get the same combat pay as military - tax free status, hazardous duty pay, etc.

Deploy the military to the border, seal the border, let BP handle the more nuanced facets of the border and let them take the deportation stuff, naturally. Build the wall.

No border plan that refuses to put US troops on our border is serious. The entire border must be covered. No entry. No asylum. No benefits. Incentivize self-deportation.

If you simply beef things up, the system will be gamed. You must refuse entry altogether, which the President has the authority to do. But once you do that, they will start moving to the locations that have no presence, hence why you must put the military on the border. This is existential to our nation.
