They must pay us back.

Lot's of promises. Why didn't he do any of this before?

That's a question that shouldn't be asked. Trump's promises ARE accomplishments. Only Never Trumpers actually want that stuff done.

Foreign Aid numbers for fun.

So a “loan” that will never be paid back? How exactly is that different than what we are doing now?

LMAO! What a dumbass. Cult45 will eat this up but this just proves how clueless he is and how he doesn’t understand how foreign policy works.

Does anyone really believe we’re just dumping money into other counties and have no stakes or nothing to gain by doing it? lol

Listen to the speech, link in OP:

quote:

They want to give a hundred billion dollars to a few countries. A 100 billion… Why do we do this? If we do you give it to them as a loan. It’s called a loan. You give them the money. And if they can pay it back, they pay it back. If they can’t pay it back, they don’t have to pay it back, because they have problems.

But if they go to another nation, they drop us like a dog. Like a female drops a male after a date, because she doesn’t like him. If that happens to our country, then very simple - we call the loan. We say we want our money.

Because we give money and then they go to another side. As an example we’re already in to Ukraine for over 200 Billion dollars. They could make a deal with Russia in the next three weeks and then all of a sudden they don’t want to deal with us any more.

It’s not a rocket science concept, it’s about Loyalty, if you want our help you have to continue to show loyalty.

Listen to the speech

It's the same thing he was promising to do way back in 2016. I don't understand the enthusiasm. He either wasn't serious about it or had no idea how to actually cut foreign aid. Since he never explains why this time will be different, it seems odd to get excited again.

So, Americans gets to have their hard earned money go to running the government to benefit Americans instead of foreign nations and their citizens?

If there was a party that had no other platform other than $0 to anyone outside our country ever again I would blindly vote for them

I’m sure you would but it just shows how ignorant you are.

Ever think about National Security? Want the rest of the world to be run by dictators?

Ever think about how isolation would impact the economy? What about the dollar? Your little 401k if you have one?

Stop being a simpleton

Yes absolutely. Certainly a ton dumped in countries that have no interest or gain to the us citizens. A shite ton dumped that seems to benefit the ruling class as back door payoffs though

Another Trump tantrum with no meaning.

1. Don't just address the Senate. Appropriations need both chambers.
2. Just reach down and grab a pair and refuse to send the money and dare them to do something about it, since the American people are onboard with limiting / eliminating this aid.
3. Also, don't be a coward and say this money can be a loan with an unlimited term and zero interest - that is a gift and a later Congress / admin will just forgive the loan.

Well at current pace of foreign aid and additional illegals now sucking the Tit we will be at 50 Trillion in debt by 2030 as the interest compounds on top of compounds on top of compounds.
I’m not a math wizard or financial analyst but something has to give.

It seems like we have a lot of opponents to restricting foreign aid or attaching contingencies to foreign aid. The people are probably foreigners who benefit from free foreign aid money. They bitch like people with student loans that have to pay them back. Sad.
