I’ll give you an example to be mad at me about even though I didn’t having anything to do with it.
Trump’s documents included stupid lies like saying a property was zoned for 10 buildings when only zone for less than 10. That inflated the value.
Another one is saying a building was worth x currently even though the building wasn’t completed.
It was mostly dumb own goal stuff. He opened the door for Leticia.
She happily walked through it.
Now. While that is fraud, I would suggest that every developer does it. I would also strongly suggest that there was no public harm so her targeting him is despicable. The fine is even more despicable.
Be mad at all that all you want. It won’t change anything but your mood.

Agreed. If they knew he was misrepresenting some properties they didn’t care. If they didn’t know that’s on them.
Either way, they got their money back and were fine.
This is indeed a political hit job. No doubt about it.

Banks or financial institutions have your house/business/land, appraised before they do any business with you. I can say my place is worth 12 million (of course it's not), but banks will always look at the actual appraisal. There is no crime committed. How is this so difficult to understand?
