I’ve watched 99% of everything Trump has said as President in speeches or rallies, and I think by far last night was the most He’s ever really made pitches to the black community. Usually he just mentions black unemployment or something like that, but he went through a litany of issues, off the top of my head, he mentioned black unemployment, criminal justice reform + comparing the 94 crime bill, school choice, opportunity zones, average wealth in the black community, as well as talking about how democrats have done nothing for them.... and this doesn’t include other issues that can appeal to the black community like abortion or illegal immigration

Smart politics because Trump really has a record of accomplishments to pitch the black community and he’s going after their vote hard. He doesn’t have to win the black vote, but if he gets 10-15% it’s over, Dems need 90% to win elections.

The black vote will never be republican. But if he can get just 15-20% of them to turn, that’s huge.

Honestly, I think we have another low black voter turn out again barring a black Democrat candidate.

If conservative minded blacks (Faith, Family, Jobs) ever see the light, the Dems are screwed.

President Trump on Wednesday paid tribute to African Americans on Juneteenth, a celebration commemorating the end of slavery.

"For millions of African Americans, Juneteenth has served as an opportunity to celebrate the fundamental truth that all people are created equal and that liberty is a right endowed by our Creator," Trump said in a statement issued by the White House.

"Across our country, the contributions of African Americans continue to enrich every facet of American life," Trump continued. "This Juneteenth, as we vow always to uphold the God-given rights of all Americans, we pay tribute to the indomitable spirit of African Americans."

He doesn’t even need +15%. If he can best his 8% to 10 or 12% while maintain or making short gains on Hispanic to 30% from (27%)

He wins

I agree with this totally. I also think its possible. Trump needs to focus on black men. These guys are the most disenfranchised and ignored part of the whole Democrat Base. They are entrepreneurial, tough minded, and like minded with Trump on the 2A and Abortion.

It’s completely stupid the position the left is going on both these issues. The black people in the D base are simply not on the same page, and it just does not appear to me (albeit as a white woman so hell what do I really know) that the Ds are doing enough to appeal to these guys. Some Black Democrats will never pull the lever for a Republican, it’s just too ingrained. But I think that Democrats have ignored black men, and maligned men in general enough that the a significant portion of them will either stay home, or vote Trump.

Completely agree, the democrat party is vilifying the white straight male, but the black straight male is next.

I think it's more likely that black voters stay home than that they vote Republican. I'm not sure I'll ever understand why that group votes so steadily for Democrats.

I think it's worse than that. They've turned black men into boogeymen. They are the scapegoat for the increase in single black mothers. It isn't the welfare state that caused this, it's those evil black men who won't stand up and be fathers to their children. The reality is that the majority of black men are not dead beat dads, but that doesn't fit the narrative so it's ignored.

It’s a little deeper than that. Many blacks used to be republicans, but for many reasons I don’t really care to go into both past and present, many continue to think republicans are racist.

On one hand i get what you are saying, then on the other i think to myself "why not"??? In my honest opinion, the black vote is becoming more and more up for grabs as more prominent black citizens are coming out as conservative, and also the fact that conservatives can make a legit and compelling argument on how the Democratic party is doing NOTHING for them and quite honestly, has moved away from them and onto Hispanics and illegals. Black Americans are hurt more by Democratic policies than any other. I think more and more black voters are starting to realize that the Republican party isn't some boogie man that the Left and the media has trained them to think.

Because they think the Republican Party is racist. Most black people still think in a monolith because of the fear left over from slavery and Jim Crow, so they feel they need to stick together.

The problem is republicans have been so scared of being called racist they didnt even try to appeal to blacks to avoid controversy. Trump don’t give a damn

That's all well and good, but the Democrat Party pushed those things.

He needs to get that message out on campaign commercials from now until Election Day to maximize the exposure of those words to the black community.

They aren’t watching his rallies and the media won’t repeat anything he says in a positive light. America’s black community needs to see the truth about how the Democrat party and their “saviors” really think of them.

Even though it can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was the Democrats who have always been the party of racists.
