I can see it now... a "race relations roundtable" at First Baptist Church of Dallas, which has a staunchly segregationist past and whose current pastor slams Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Mormons and homosexuals.

If all that is true, reasonable people would say that would make First Baptist a perfect place to hold a race relations round table. Why can’t you see that?

Because the truth is he hates you and doesn't want that. Ever.

Can we please call a spade a spade here?

Who really thinks a token roundtable discussion is going to change a single person's mind?

This is a very dumb idea, brought to you by Jared Kushner.

He’s done these throughout his presidency. Honestly I believe he’s there for the fundraiser but needed some cover.

Either way I’m happy he’s doing it

Of all the round tables he’s done none have gotten out of hand or gone sideways it’s more of a gesture.

I think everyone is making this a bigger deal than it is. It’s almost the exact same group that just did the police round table yesterday.

Btw

Ja’ron Smith is the man glad he is on trumps staff.

Well, that explains why my phone was ringing so much today from political friends.

I guess I will be attending a fundraiser tomorrow...

So a couple who is hosting the President of the United States for a $580,000 per couple dinner is going to invite you the day before, just for the hell of it?

Yes.

No. There was a seat opened (someone can’t make it is all I will say) and I have already been backgrounded and in the Whitehouse during this and previous administrations. This isn’t the most last minute thing I had come up.

I once drove the press van in Iowa during the early days of GWBs administration when he visited a renewable energy business in central Iowa. I got that call with about 12 hours lead time with the instruction to clear my calendar and meet at DSM airport. I didn’t know what was up until I was handed the keys to the van. I was about 300 yards behind the beast out and back.

What's the minority membership of this church? Is this a nondenominational?

Gateway is charismatic. I don't go there so I don't know. But Morris' daughter is married to an African-American.
