yes a lot of countries circumvent free trade rules because they peg their currency to the US dollar. just because China's currency is weaker than the dollar doesn't mean we're benefitting. they actually prefer it that way. in reality China's currency shouldn't be that much cheaper for such a large market economy.

You can’t possibly be this brainwashed. Steel, aluminum, liquor, cheese, and hundreds of other raw material and consumer items went up at least 25% directly due to Trump tariffs. US farmers lost their foreign markets. The government handed out billions of dollars of subsidies to farmers due to the loss of export markets.
