It wasn't bone spurs, was it?

What medical problem kept you from serving?

Pwn’d?

I think that’s how the kids do it.

You got time to make a come back. You’re just down big in the first quarter.

It's 84-0 right now.

About to be 85-0 if you aren't careful.

I will.

And your experience is the same as every enlisted person I know. Outside of engineering, officers were clueless. As an AN/SPY 1D Aegis tech, my DIVO got his degree in French Lit.

I don't know why I even bothered arguing with the dude. He clearly has never spent a day as an enlisted man. He doesn't understand the obvious truth that officers rely on senior enlisted to determine the morale and capabilities of the enlisted. It has always been that way. It will always be that way.

These deployments have readiness value, the loss compared to when deploy an unprepared force is a small fraction.

And you base this off of what experience or did you read this in some consultant’s report?

I don’t think I have a more moronic piece of drivel on this board! As somebody that deployed to quite a few of these worthless situations I pray you don’t procreate!

Combat deployments have value civilians like you can’t see.

You are saying we should keep our soldiers in manufactured and/or unnecessary conflicts for "readiness"?

That is pretty sick, man.

Listen, we need to treat Displaced with a little empathy. Who knows how many of his terrible ideas were called out when the Post published the Afghanistan Papers. He is very sensitive as he sees his greatest love in life, perpetual war, slipping from his grasp. He will meet you at Sonic every day for the rest of his life if that's what it takes to beat you into submission.

Always listen to your NCOs. They’re the ones who really know what’s going on in the field.
NCO's are fantastic, generally. In the Navy they aren't as available aboard ship as other branches. The chiefs serve that purpose on ship.

The COB is basically the right hand of the CO on most ships. He is often responsible for morale and readiness reports.

bullshite.

Nothing I have said is even controversial. It is just what is.

I had one conversation with my Div O in 4 years on one ship.

You think he had a firm grasp on his people?

You can catch a Captain's mast if you get too friendly with an Officer.

We ate dinner at my Chief's pad every time we pulled back into homeport, on that same ship

I don't know a single sailor who has much of a different experience.

I don't know why any of you bother. I don't post something unless I know it's correct.

Surprisingly, I was right again.

Neither has CMDCM Mike Bates, apparently.

Amen, “downward communication.” If you’re an owner or manager, you better do it in whatever line of work you’re in or you’re apt to be bit in the tail, bigly.

Notice he always has the same number of upvotes for every post. He uses an alter for that purpose.

He does the same thing on the m/TV board. It's why basically everyone ignores his post on that board. I have no clue why I thought for a second that maybe I can get an honest discussion out of him here.
