Here is the crux of it to me: it's both.

Pressuring a country to investigate corruption is a legitimate action by the US government. That it also benefits Trump politically is maybe "icky" but that's about it.

Almost identical in my mind is how Clinton would order a missile strike on a terrorist training base every time he needed a bump in the polls or a to change the headlines from some scandal that just broke.

Yeah, it was clearly for his own political gain, but it was also a legitimate action to blow up terrorists.

It's the kind of thing people should give feedback on through an election not through the exercise of a partisan use of the constitution's impeachment power.

Well you're not wrong. The other general category is the lineup of testimony from an assortment of folks as to their feelings and emotions upon either listening in on the call, or upon hearing from others about the call.
