Its the perfect set up.
Run a flame thrower primary when you have a solid halfish of the party. Win it fairly easily but piss off enough republican voters and right leaning independents in the process. Lose the general to a relatively unpopular democratic party. Claim fraud because how could he lose when the country is so bad and muh rally attendance. Then him and the crew get to keep the whole thing going.

His followers love it. The more he insults and sounds like a wrestler the more they like him.

Im ready to be home but I need to go vote for Trump or Gavin......eh Ill just go home-
Iowa moderate Republican voter
Its not about losing them to Biden or Gavin. Its about getting them to want to show up to vote for him.

Bingo
Republican voters are notorious for not showing up when candidates don't check all their boxes.
Louisiana has a dem governor...

One thing I've noticed is Trump's butthurt video over Reynolds just took the steam out of his Abbott endorsement. Even the cult is more focused on this. All its done is bring more attention to what a jackass he is.
Also this is why chickenshit won't come back to Twitter:
gg Trump, lol.

Nothing that happens on this forum is moving the national needle. You could let HHTM post nonstop and it wouldn't hurt Trump 1% as bad as that video
Thats sort of my point.
Trump has a few things going for him that make him virtually unbeatable
1) He is basically an incumbent
2) Name ID
3) Media attention
4) Loyal/Supportive base
5) Republican Party has a hiatory of sucking and the strongest components of the base not trusting anything that comes out of it. If someone is deemed "establishment", it is a death wish. DeSantis simply hasn't done enough to seperate himself from this label (fair or not fair), this is simply the reality
6) The DOJ/Judicial persecution of Trump is real, and further solidifies his base and is an example of our own issues with the weaponization of the state vs the people. (Fair or not, this is the way it is)
7) Trump is generally likeable, especially to his base. Ron simply comes off as awkward and kind of a nerd (I realize this is petty, but is a reality in politics, people don't trust people who come off as too buttoned up, especially now days)
8)The 2020 election fiasco. There is a large chunk of people who saw what happen, and will not feel they recieved justice on the issue until it is rectified and Trump is able to finish out his 2nd term. (Again fair or not, this is reality)

Congrats on living in a fantasy world and not understanding political realities
How much time have you spent knocking doors, or going to GOP meetings, events, working on campaigns, engaging different communities about political issues or canidates, anything in the world of politics?
Trump is viewed by many as a DeFacto Incumbent. And yes, that matters, it matters a ton. Especially with someone that has a base like Trump.
I know you want to believe that political campaigns can be wwon with nuance and the bow tie libbertarian William Buckley quips. But in fact there is more to it. Most average voters, even primary voters are simply not that tuned in.

He should cut another video with Abbott and Lindsey Graham

Either of which should be a good thing if you're hoping to see someone gain ground on him in the primary, right?
The problem is projecting that people are not OnlyFans are the same as neverTrumpers.
For a lot of people where Trump is their second choice—will still vote for him in the general (despite the projections from the OnlyFans on this board).
Trump seems to be doing everything he can to stop them from doing that. it’s a terrible strategy for someone that claims to have already won the orimary.

A Cult45 member saying someone else does not understand political realities is the funniest thing I have read here today.

It doesn't seem to me the majority of the party's voters are onboard with that. It more doesn't seem to me, berating them to do something otherwise is a good strategy to change it.

All they care about is winning the primary. They have made that very clear for months.

Do you not even see the problem?
You and Lou Pai are perfect examples of why DeSantis is losing and doesn't stand a chance. Many of his influencers and biggest supporters come across as complete dorks.
His campaign has been a complete failure, because they have not figured out how to reach the new Trump voters. Just look at KY, and look at the county by county maps for 2016 and 2020. And then compare to Gubernatorial and other elections. No one other than Trump has figured out how to get these votes, and don't seem interested

It has more to do with who's coming after him harder than anything I've ever seen on the American political scene, than anything.
Trump (claims) to ready to unseat the GOPe. It’s. o surprise they are coming after him.
But to top it off… Trump is constantly attacking successful conservative republicans. So he’s getting it from a wide swath of them too. That should be surprising either.
Trump didn’t have enough voters to win last time. I’ve asked at least a dozen times… where are NEW Trump voters going to come from? Never been answered.
He seems to be eroding his base, but he’s not any more appealing to any other demographic. So unless a boatload of voters come from somewhere yet unseen, he’s going to worse than last 2020. Mid terms seem to confirm that.

DeSantis has had his chance over and over, but has continued to fail because him and his campaign team have not been able to seperate themselves from the establishment and people sniffed it out (whether its fair or not, I am juat observing what happened)

Yes, I do.
You and your cohorts are the problem.
What you want for the country as far as policies and such is not a problem. It's great.
The fact you have hitched yourself to a narcissistic clown that attacks every solid republican that doesn't kiss his ring, that turns people off to the point they will drag their nuts through broken glass to vote against him, is the problem.
We have 7 years of proof he is toxic to voters. Both in elections he himself participated in and in mid terms where he threw his weight behind terrible candidates with horrific results.
You sir are the problem.
