Government should keep all of our money. They are better at deciding what to do with it than us. Amirite?

We are $40 trillion in debt. They have no money to give. This will be inflation causing money printing.
Enjoy the $5K now because it will cost you that in the increased cost of living for every year after.
Also, don't expect a rate cut anytime soon if this happens.

Considering the deficit, this proposed money is not really ours, is it? It’s just going to come off the magical money printer, right?

Give? It’s our money. I can’t fathom wanting the government to keep our money.

I couldn’t care less about $5000. It isn’t life changing. Neither will be whatever increase in cost of living. I care about the government having less of our money.

Rates were cut in 2017 and made “permanent” in 2024. There won’t be another cut anytime soon, but it won’t be because of this. Revenues are at all-time highs. Cut spending. Letting people keep their money isn’t spending.

We know you vote Democrat. No need to pretend otherwise.

Only Dem I’ve ever voted for is John Bel Edwards

That requires spending to be cut

Interest rates is what he referred to not tax rates

All these people know how to do is spend. We are fricked.

He’s talking about interest rates, not marginal tax rates.
Also, Trump has done nothing to curb spending.
Excluding COVID budget deficit as a percentage of GDP:
2022 -5.3%
2023 -6.2%
2024 -6.4%
2025 -6.2%
2026 -6.5%
So stop the gaslighting.
