I agree that Trump is a symptom and not the true core problem. But you know my stance. I blame the voters.

Thomas Jefferson did that all the time.

Not sure how old you are, but I have seen an increasingly "weaponized" political environment in the last twenty years. Much more partisan. No prisoners. Win at all costs. This is just the next step in our devolution.

An ill informed electorate. Both parties thrive on this.

Didn't he call on them to investigate this? They have outright condemned his actions and called on him to explain himself by the 20th of March.

Trump is dragging his sack on the faces of liberals.

I didn't read all this thread but this is mighty damaging to Trump:

quote:

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) on Wednesday said that his panel has not received any evidence that President Trump was wiretapped during the election campaign.

"As I told you last week about the issue with the president talking about tapping Trump Tower, that evidence still remains the same, that we don't have any evidence that that took place," Nunes told reporters.

"In fact, I don't believe just in the last week of time, the people we've talked to, I don't think there was an actual tap of Trump Tower."
- The Hill

When Republicans are making statements like that it is a very bad sign.

How bout the tradition of fake news claiming the Russians hacked the election without any evidence?

Is that like the one where you lose the popular vote by 3 million then claim it was due to widespread fraud without any evidence?

He got the stupid Russian story off the table. He isn't being investigated so why waste time on that?

It looks like President Liar committed libel.

In order to prove libel, you would have to PROVE the statement wasn't true, and that Obama was harmed by the statement in any real way.

So I guess now it is you who is the liar.

Or perhaps you are merely stupid and misused the word libel.

So basically you're cool with the President lying his arse off to distract from his other problems?

Who is suggesting that the Russians directly hacked the US selection? If anything is a straw man it's this. Outside of liberal conspiracy sites did the Post, Times, CNN report this? If they did I sure didn't see it. I read this outlets every day and I distinctly remember them stating that the above did not happen.

I've seen them saying that on top of that, the argument is that Trump actually knowingly colluded with them in doing so. I hadn't seen that claim made in anything but strawman form, either.
