I get your point but it is littered with ignorance. First, DeSantis isn’t “associated” with old guard republicans like Mitch McConnell. Yes Trump made that accusation, but it is 100% a lie.
Second, your point about the Freedom Caucus…guess who is a founding member? Ron DeSantis. And RD hasn’t changed his politics in any shape, form or fashion.
And finally, guess who attacked the Freedom Caucus after being elected? Not McConnell? Not any “old guard” republicans either. Nope. It was Trump. Yeah, you read that correctly. Trump lambasted the Freedom Caucus for opposing his amnesty and spending bills. Don’t believe me? Here are the links:

What you fail to understand is that Trump hates the Freedom Caucus more than Democrats and the “old guard” republicans as evidenced by his own words and actions.
From the moment he was elected he attacked the Freedom Caucus, and he continued with his very personal attacks against DeSantis. Now he is moving onto Bob Goode.
It’s a pattern. And it’s concerning. But hey, no one cares because very few want to hear the truth.

You can’t help them. Some do these Trump supporters have a serious “dear leader” mentality. They believe everything he says and do no research of their own. Fact is, Trump is running off normal people he should easily be winning.
