Truth is that Trump is radioactive to high end professionals (or most of them). It's chicken or egg. He has a long history of hiring sleazy lawyers and the like, probably because they flatter him. Which leads to scandal, and eventually serious people don't want to touch it.
Of course, a lot of high end lawyers are either leftists or they're very sensitive to public image so that doesn't help him either.

Steve Mnuchin was a good President. If Trump did not have him it would have been a clown show all over including the economics.
