The left tries to portray Trump as some bumbling incompetent fool. If he is that, why do they fear/hate him so much? They know that this man gets it. He realizes what is happening in this country and he is determined to stop it. He is a not the run of the mill politician that they have faced over the past 20 years. The man is a fighter and they know that they cannot cower him like they do Romney, etc. So they know they must destroy him to stop him. Trump will not go along to get along.

And they are trying to disguise it as a democratic progressive movement that initiates/defends equality, diversity and inclusion. And sadly there are millions of useful idiots in this nation that are helping them to achieve their objective.
