Our authoritarian corporations have dictated that the president of the United states should not be allowed to speak to the nation. That the president of the United states should not be allowed to have a voice.

Yes. Establishment Republicans are as much to blame. The state and local Democrats (and some Republicans) were merely foot soldiers.
The RNC will run somebody in 2024 like Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush for POTUS; the media will then be free to again hate Pierre.

It was actually a pretty damn smart end around of the First Amendment. Once they firmly have control of the media, Big Tech, and a ton of corporations, they just get them to do the silencing for them. It operates just like the Government censoring, but they have the corporations do the dirty work

Or maybe if there was a room where POTUS could brief the media directly. Like a Briefing Room.
Better yet, what if POTUS could address the American people right from the comfort of his desk in the Oval Office. Maybe they could call it an Oval Office Address.
