Which they refused to help us with. Imagine how much faster we could have finished off Japan if we has been able to use the Russian far east or Soviet far east to base bombers out of. We could have started routine bombing of Japan in 1942 instead of 1944. Also we could have supplied the Chinese fighting the Japanese from the Soviet Union. Would have probably save millions of Chinese lives.
The Russians also denied our suggestion of sending American and British troops to fight along side the Red Army against the Germans on the eastern front. They did not want the populace or the Army exposed to capitalist influences. Of course Russian history books tend to leave out the little annoying details like that.
