But but but “he said Day 1” stfu he hasn’t even reached 100 days and has done 100 different things it’s wild to me that y’all focus on some things that’s beyond his control if you think the Ukraine-Russia war was the reason conservatives and independents voted for him your crazy

You said you would end the war in Ukraine on Day One. Well, I said that figuratively, and I said that as an exaggeration, because to make a point, and you know, it gets, of course, by the fake news [unintelligible]. Obviously, people know that when I said that, it was said in jest, but it was also said that it will be ended. Well what’s taking so long? When do you think it will be ended? Well, I don’t think it’s long. I mean, look, I got here three months ago. This war has been going on for three years. It's a war that would have never happened if I was president. It's Biden's war. It’s not my war. I have nothing to do with it. I would have never had this war. This war would have never happened. Putin would have never done it. This war would have never happened. Oct. 6 would have never happened. Oct. 7 would have never happened. Would have never happened. Ever. You then say, what’s taking so long? Do you hear this, Steve? The war has been raging for three years. I just got here, and you say, what's taken so long? Do you think peace is still possible if Putin is President? I think peace is possible. You say if Putin is still president? Yeah, if Putin is President. Can there be peace if Putin is President of Russia? I think with me as president, there's—possible, if very probable. If somebody else is president, no chance.

Well the Ukraine part was towards the bottom of the piece. He admits that he was exaggerating when he said day 1 (so you got him there).

He then said it wouldn't have happened if he was president 3 years ago (hard to prove, but Crimea was not taken on his watch and this war didn't happen on his watch, so he's got an argument, maybe he's wrong, but it isn't incoherent), he also said that Oct 7 wouldn't have happened.

Then he was asked if a peace deal could be reached with Putin and Zelensky still as president of their countries, to which he said yes.

Then he was asked if Crimea should got back to Ukraine. He basically says that it will stay with Russia as it's been theirs for a long time (since 2014) but it wouldn't have happened under his watch (again, proving a negative is difficult but I think he has an argument).

There, now you have had English translated to English, so hopefully your head will stop hurting.

I know you're not a Biden guy. You're, relatively speaking, an isolationist. Are you a radical libertarian who hates everything and everybody?

Just what are you on about in this thread?

You want the President - of the United States - to not comment about any foreign affairs?

Even crazy Gary Johnson wouldn't take that position.

Either way, global geopolitics are above your intellectual pay grade and you should probably sit this one out ...

Thanks for taking time to read it and translate it.

The man has done good on border security by allowing people already on the job - ICE - to do their job as well as gutting DEI programs.

The rest re: foreign policy is like amateur hour.

What in the hell do my hobbies have to do with me having an opinion on the leadership of my country?

Stop being a petty nitwit.

I’m gonna need you to explain how you think Trump is allowing neocons to undercut Russia-Ukraine negotiations.

Thanks for the effort, but I don't think that's particularly bad. Either:

1) he has no understanding of the situation

Or

2) (what I think) he doesn't want to compromise his bargaining power by revealing specifics.

Reading your post is what made my head hurt. That’s a lot of idiocy jammed into a couple of sentences.

No wonder UL-L use to be known as “Slow Learners University.”

Elaborate on what this administration should be doing ...

The idea that an exaggerist, bombastic individual was going to get a narcissistic comedian dictator and a former KGB, iron fist leader to a peace negotiation on day one is not evidence of foreign policy failure ...

Not a libertarian. I’m a James Monroe doctrine, American first agenda guy…thought this President was as well. His CONTINUED funding of Ukraine (which he previously halted until Zelensky apologized) and Israel shows me we (USA citizens) are not 1st to him.

I want him to be INFORMED fully before roiling markets with his bombastic, helter skelter threats and musings. You know, like a gentleman should in his position.
