all the reports said we would not

I was able to get my bank acct info entered into the system a few weeks ago, so no waiting on the paper check

$500 more than I expected coming in, so we got paid for my 17 year old

Why shouldn't I? Especially since my taxes are paying for a shite load of checks the poors are getting!

Well that doesn't describe myself but I did have to write a check to the IRS for a little over 140k in 2018 and will again this year.

As a married person with 3 kids filing jointly with my wife, I'd need to make almost $220,000 to get no stimulus money whatsoever.

ETA: Not "balling" or anything, but certainly not "poor."

Denigrating people that are less fortunate than you makes you look like an arse.

Being mad that your taxes are mismanaged is fine, but placing the blame on those that received the checks is misguided. Be mad at Trump and every politician that supported the policy.

At this point the money isn't really coming from your income and capital gains taxes, its coming from an increase in the US Federal Reserve notes supply. If that results in inflation then everyone technically paid for it, but inflation has been a bit strange ever since 2008.

It goes with the territory.

Poors vote for politicians who then use the government gun to take more from those who make more.

We live in the world of "from each according to his ability to each according to their need"

Wasn't blaming anyone who received a check. Just was making a misguided joke I expect.

I have a small business, and my goal is to show a loss through my company if I can & minimize my taxes as much as I can
