Former President Trump wasn’t on the ballot, but he was one of the winners as the candidate he backed won a GOP primary in a special House election in Ohio's 15th Congressional District on Tuesday.
And progressive Democrats were the losers, as the well-known contender they were supporting lost to a candidate endorsed by the party’s establishment and the Congressional Black Caucus in a Democratic primary election for a vacant House seat in Ohio’s 11th Congressional District.
"Tonight, Republicans across Ohio's 15th Congressional District sent a clear message to the nation that President Donald J. Trump is, without a doubt, the leader of our party," said Mike Carey, the candidate the former president endorsed.

Trump is much more than the leader of the party. He’s the leader of this country.

63% of republicans voting in that special election voted for somebody besides the candidate Trump endorsed.
I wonder if his man could have won a run off??? It really isn't good to let a man that only got 37% of the republican vote go up against a democrat. Thankfully this district is a republican district. Maybe the republicans can hold it in the general election.
I wonder why they do not run off primaries where nobody gets a majority?
37% is pretty weak but hey it's a HUGE win for Trump according to his worshippers. That is all that matters.

I know you needed me to do the numbers for you. The Trump guy only got 37% of the votes in a republican primary. 63% of republicans voted against him. Now he faces a more moderate democrat than the progressives wanted.

Don't you think the Fox headline in the link from the OP was overboard calling it a big win for Trump???---Is 37% all they expect a Trump candidate to muster?

Why are you posting SDV? you just want to type something out in celebration of a Trump candidate getting 37% of a republican primary????

It looks like it was a pretty wide open 10 candidate primary. 37% and more than 20 percentage points ahead of the next closest candidate seems pretty strong to me in such a big field, but what the hell do I know?

But he's so gruff and unpolished, though.
To the extent that he even motivates people who wouldn't ordinarily bother to vote, to somehow make it to the polls to cast their lot against him.
It's so bad he's even shown that he can get millions to vote against him even if they have to do it illegally, just from the thought of his being in that position.

Then why won't his supporters take the vaccine his administration developed, sponsored, and paid for?
