"You are the very definition of a toady moron."

here's your big chance to educate us and not look like a toady moron.

How does the US implementing a 10% global tariff result is "us" being "taxed more".

be specific, because you know, you don't want to come across as a moron.

Because foreigners are not subject to US taxation. The US government cannot levy taxes on foreign citizens residing in foreign nations. The US government's taxing jurisdiction only extends to people and companies here in America. Tariffs are imposed on the US importers, not on the foreign exporters.

So "we" are being "taxed more."

How could you possibly not understand this by now?

How can you not understand that you are very wrong.

Any entity, foreign or domestic, that does business here is subject to our taxes. If a foreign entity sells goods here, they can be taxed.

Every country on Earth does this. How is it you cannot understand?

The downvotes show that some goobers are still falling for the line "no trust me bro, the foreign countries pay tariffs TO US!"

The thing is that foreign companies for the most part are not selling their goods here direct to consumer. There is an intermediary like walmart or lowes or amazon (this one is somewhat different depending on how the item is sold). The importer pays the taxes. If the foreign company has a US branch and imports their own goods to sell they will pay the tariffs. If you buy something foreign directly you will pay the tariff as part of shipping.

no where did you explain how leving a 10% tariff on foreign countries equates to the US govt "taxing" "us" more.

you're explanation is about as dumb as anything I've ever read here...... and considering you and your ilk post here regularly that's saying something.

How can you possibly not understand what an idiot you sound like by now?

he's still working on his explanation of why a tariff on another country taxes "us" more.

but he's indignant about your lack of knowledge of both this and the estate tax I'm sure.

Well it's pretty simple: that's not what a tariff is. Hope this helps!
