This is an interesting issue pitting some allies against each other while exposing the true ideals and convictions of others. We could really use a great arbiter to bridge a compromise but that will continue to allude the litigates

In the very least, if I am Chevron, I bring in every royalty owner associated with this action. After all, they were enriched as well.

This nonsense needs to shut down now. Lawyers, the evil doers of society, prostitute the law daily.

Plaquemine politicians and their supporters were collectively working to extract as much money they could from oilfield companies. They beat people out of land rights, mineral rights, jailed , stole and some believe death of people. Oil companies had the government backing at least

How dare you accuse Saint Leander Perez and his family and friends of such bully tactics!

From what I understand, lots of canals were dug throughout the wetlands to allow vessel passage between various petrochemical resources decades ago. A lot the marshland was crisscrossed with many passageways which have eroded over time and compounded the wetland loss. The river being levied up and dumping all its silt into the GOA doesn't help either though.

That makes sense. So the state should also have to pay, given the billions of dollars they reap from tax revenue off the O&G resources they were blessed with
