The vote came just before 2 a.m. Wednesday after Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., one of the House impeachment managers, suggested that senators were voting for a "cover-up," which drew sharp responses from the president's legal counsel. Chief Justice John Roberts admonished House managers and Trump's counsel "in equal terms to remember that they are addressing the world's greatest deliberative body." "I do think those addressing the Senate should remember where they are," Roberts said.
Folks we finally have a President that has taught The Republicans how to fight. Democrats get pissed when you play their game.

One of the best things that happened, it was carried that a vote in the senate can override Roberts decision.
Basically, it's Mitch's rules, all the way down the line.
All votes on procedures, were split, right down party lines, with only 1 anomaly vote. I missed what happened about that one.

Watching Morning Joke this AM because I'm a masochist and enjoy torture. At least they don't have 1000 "My Pillow" ads running every hour.
Anyway, according to the pundits, most particularly Cuck Scarborough, a former Republican congressman known primarily as a murder suspect and adulterous husband, saying that the Republican Party is on its way to going the way of the Whigs.
"Do the Republicans in the Senate see past this moment? Do they not see past Donald Trump? Trump will be gone in less than a year. They won't have any relevancy after the way they are circumventing the will of the people in this charade."
They are pissed that Mitch is doing Mitch things.

Hopefully not an NBA, NFL, or SEC ref.

Can't find it either, but I believe it was a 52-48 vote related to the filing of briefs, if I am not mistaken. Not sure who the "defector" was.
Due to the late night, I think that many are catching up on sleep.

So, the republicans told Schumer to go screw himself and his amendments?
Posted on 1/22/20 at 7:03 am to PhDoogan
It was Collins.
She's a twat.

Just said, "Everyone know he's guilty. Everyone should have voted for Jeb Bush!"

Now they are saying Pat Cipollone was lying when he said Republicans were denied access to witnesses.
