tOOTHLESS TIGER

Gowdy has always been a pitbull when the cameras are rolling and a Chihuahua behind closed doors. And so many people fell for the public act.

He's always backed law enforcement, especially the FBI. This shouldn't come as a shock to you

I've always said he's all bark and no bite. Not impressed with him.

Gowdy wants to police everything. He is a typical guilty until proven innocent mindset. He is also all bark and no bite.
And HRC shouted his arse down during Benghazi hearing like a little bitch.

Don't disagree with Gowdy in theory, but it seems everyone is either "OMG espionage on Trump" or is in the camp of "this is completely normal."
Informants trying to get info out of a Presidential candidate's campaign is not normal. It's not the normal use of informants. Using a guy with a long history of working with the IC to aggressively try to ensnare campaign staffers is, at minimum, something that should be questioned by everyone in a democracy. Especially when the informant gets obviously miffed when his attempts fail. Again, that doesn't seem normal.
If it turns out that some serious shite was going down to try and impact the campaign and the FBI focus was on that, fine. I hope that's the case, and maybe it is. But the fact that people are being ridiculed for wanting information about what happened is fricked up.
I know the government is always going to conceal things from us. But if you're someone who wants to try and sort through the shite to get at some nuggets of truth, this is a frustrating time to be alive. A "circle the wagons" media that won't fricking ask any questions vs. an blustering administration that is right in its objections but which has its own truth-telling problem.

Gowdy is a career prosecutor. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone he is more trusting of federal law enforcement than your average libertarian or tea party conservative. I've been saying he is positioning himself for a judgeship in the next decade. He can't do that by criticizing the DOJ and FBI, though I agree both deserve an outright overhaul.

He and Cuck Paul are the biggest frauds in congress

Agree. I had very high admiration for Gowdy when it sounded like he was working to bring some justice, but this latest fold to the liberal dems sunk his ship in my opinion.

This is a reasonable thought pattern, however....
None of the other Republicans who have seen the info are in any way disagreeing with Gowdy. That tells you all you need to know.

They are all back tracking! What up?

I have been carefully scrutinizing Gowdy's comments, from time to time. He sometimes is very vague. This time, I listened very carefully to the conversation to which you refer. He said, and I paraphrase, after listening to the classified meeting he attended,he thinks Trump will be pleased with the Mueller investigation. The investigation is not of DJT, but of his contacts and people working for him. This is what DJT told Comey he wanted. There are many reasons for me to doubt the sincerity of Mueller's investigation, but the part where Gowdy said, "after attending the classified meeting," tells me to wait, before casting judgement.
