President Trump is involved because he's the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and can get involved if he fricking feels like it.

Nobody else in the picture was charged. Now it may be that the Navy is convinced he did the other things even though they weren't proven, but that's not how justice works. It looks like a railroad job and unequal protection under the law, and Trump is Commander in Chief.

interesting. had read about the picture but hadn’t seen it. as “war crimes” - not sure if that’s what you call this but close enough - seems pretty mild. should know better as an officer but whatever. also weird nobody else answered for it

He was found not guilty of killing the prisoner. And another SEAL admitted on the witness stand that he did it.

Exactly. I would prefer that POTUS stay out of the weeds on stuff like this and let the military do its thing, but the Navy screwed the pooch on this. They have only themselves to blame.
