This is a nothing burger - if the media would care this much about heart disease - people would stop eating sugar in a panic. This is 100% to stop orange man

You seem to be following the virus events much more closely than I am so I'm curious what your prediction is as to the total number of deaths from CV-19 in the U.S. will eventually be this year?

If we extrapolate the numbers in the OP, we are all dead before football season.
Shut down tRant.

Now do flu.
Now do heart disease
Now do cancer.

I bet 90% of regular posters check these same statistics on the Johns Hopkins or CDC tracking sites fairly often.
You post the same info as a graph because you think that big red slope is scarier than raw numbers. Virtually everyone knows COVID-19 is working its way across the US. Of course the number of confirmed cases increases dramatically as the number of tests conducted has increased exponentially. Still 20 something deaths in the US, where over half have occurred in old folks homes in the Northwest.
What new info is your chart providing?

Certainly would be a challenge.
You would agree that the media's repeated crying "Wolf!" has led to a general dismissiveness on the parts of some about this particular panic?
At this point, certainly feels more like SARS or H1N1 than the end of the world.
The point you're responding to, if folks were actually concerned with what is actually far more likely to cause them disease or death, they would "panic" over smoking cigs, lack of exercise or sugar.
They don't, because those problems aren't being hyped at them (at least currently) as the end of the world by cable news networks are more than happy to sell advertising spots at premium rates.
It's human nature condensed to its basest elements - herd mentality coupled with irrational fear of infectious diseases, particularly in the West (looking really hard at you, United States.)

Over 2,500 US citizens died last week from flu or pneumonia caused by flu.

My dick hurts. Could it be a strain of Coronavirus?

Who gives a shite.
Interesting news would be if a celeb tested positive. Like Ginsburg or Pelosi or Schumer. Let me know when this happens and I might start getting as excited as you are over Americas dying.

He seems to be fascinated by the current death total but what it will eventually be is the key issue, imo.
