I'm pretty sure it's lumped in with manufacturing.

Honestly, makes sense.
Creation of a consumer product.

yea, I missed that part.

As far as heath care in our state goes, your employer (as well as rebelette v 2.0) is the best at care. You guys have a horrible business model though. I couldn't stay in business for a week if I didn't charge anyone.

you guys heal them, then Vandy chops their genitals off.

Not charging IS our business model. Never have, never will.

You don't need to charge. Just start hitting up people for money. I mean, you have to have a pretty good cause, but still...

For the record.... I HATE those dang commercials. Not as bad as the Shriner ones... I mean... c'mon guys... get a new spokesperson. That dude's been around for years and years.

This is the #1 and #2 in South Carolina. I wouldn't have guessed either one.

Neither would I ... well, Michelin maybe. I know a bunch of guys who recently retired from there and they're huge right there off of I-20 at Exit 51, Longs Pond Road. Michelin's North American HQ is in Mauldin I think, right near BMW.

Southeastern Freight is big as well ... close to 10k employees, but they're scattered about their various hubs.

Samsung is big up around Prosperity.

I'm not sure what the metrics are for the ratings. Number of employees, gross revenues, instate employees only, what? ZF Group doesn't employ that many people within the state if I am not mistaken.

Still, combined, the health care industry in SC is massive.

Not good. NAFTA and free trade have been a disaster.

Also, the population has aged, increasing health care demand.

UAB has around 27,000 I think and would be the largest single site employer

Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville is a single site employer with over 40,000 employees.

About 1 out of every 100 people in Mobile, AL is employed at Airbus or a company who works primarily with Airbus

And Mobile also has Austal. Hyundai in Montgomery, Honda in Lincoln, Mercedes outside of Tuscaloosa, and a ton of suppliers along 85 that serve Hyundai and the Kia plant just across the Georgia line.
