I actually clicked OPs link. India is indeed a shithole in large areas but man I found the whole place fascinating.
I'd love to go back, just have to cross some other places off the list first.

India and China are both on my bucket list, but I imagine it will be a while before I get back to that corner of the world again.

Ya I've only been to Shanghai. Before landing on Laos/Myanmar for October I had put together a pretty cool China itinerary but once my wife found out I'd be seeing pandas in Chengdu she vetoed that for us to do together
